Sue Maurer

Sue Maurer, 83, Shawnee, KS passed away Friday, Jan. 24, 2020 at her home.

On Nov. 20, 1954, Carol Sue married Robert J. Maurer at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Her hobbies included reading books, knitting, crocheting and gambling.  She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Maurer on April 11, 2014 and a grandchild, Lauren Rieke. Survivors include her daughter, Susan (John) Rieke; three sons, Robert C. (Darnel) Maurer, Craig (Julie) Maurer and Kevan (Lenora) Maurer all of Shawnee, KS; fifteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am, Thursday, January 30, 2020 at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 5501 Monticello Rd, Shawnee, KS 66226; burial in the St. Joseph Cemetery. A visitation will be from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm, Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at the Amos Family Funeral Home, where a rosary will be held at 5:30 pm.
