Susan Lynn Fanska, 69, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2021 at St. Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit, MO. Susan was born July 24, 1951 to the late Rudy and Janet R. Fanska in Kansas City, MO. She graduated from Oak Park High School in 1969. Susan went on to earn her nursing certificate at Research Hospital, a bachelor's in psychology from Park College, and a degree in computer programming from Penn Valley. She was a registered nurse from 1974 until her retirement in 2016 from Truman Medical Center-Lakewood. She was a former member of the RLDS community in North Kansas City and a longtime member and troop leader in Camp Fire. Susan was very interested in family history and enjoyed researching Genealogy. Susan is survived by her daughter, Peggy Hardison and husband James; a grandson James Hardison; a granddaughter Erin Hardison; five sisters, Mariann Jane Fanska; Peggy Ann Fanska; Janet Lucille Fanska; Nancy Lou Pifer and husband Timothy; Elizabeth Ann Krispin and husband Stephen; three brothers, Charles Lee Fanska and wife Vickie; John Anthony Fanska and wife Vicki; William David Fanska; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Susan is also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Rudolph Robert Fanska, Jr. A Celebration of Susan’s life will be 4 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee.
