Susie Hediger

Connie “Susie” Hediger passed away peacefully on January 15th, 2024 with her family by her side.

Susie was born on December 16th, 1963 to Thomas and Dorothy (Ford) South. She grew up in Turner, and attended Turner High as part of the graduating class of 1982. Daryl and Susie got married in 1992 and had a loving marriage for 31 years.

Susie was a lover of food, the colors of the rainbow, laughing, and her furry companions, Leroy, Perry, Moe, and all of God’s creatures (spiders excluded).

Anyone who knew Susie knew she was a loving wife and mother. She shared this same love with her community of friends spanning across the globe with the same passion for all things Hello Kitty.

Susie was predeceased by her mother Dorothy, her father Tom, and her brother Ron. She is survived by her husband Daryl, her daughter Lily, her three brothers John, Scott and Steve, and 16 nieces and nephews.

She will be missed by everyone with whom she ever crossed paths, family, friends and neighbors alike.

A memorial visitation will be held at Amos Family Funeral Home on Sunday, January 21st, 2024 from 12pm to 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care and to Wayside Waifs Animal Rescue.
