Sylvan F. Lowenbruck

Sylvan Francis Lowenbruck, born on December 21, 1933, in Caldwell, Kansas, passed away at the age of 90 on June 2, 2024, in Shawnee, Kansas. He departed this world peacefully, having died in his sleep.

Sylvan lived a full and colorful life, working as a Foreman for Sheet Metal Workers' Local Union #2. Outside of work, he indulged in his passions for poker, fishing, hunting, traveling, and sharing a beer or two with his buddies. An Army Veteran, Sylvan was also a dedicated member of the Sons of the American Revolution #168658 and the American Legion - Post 0327.

In his journey through life, Sylvan was preceded in death by his parents, Ambrose Hendren Lowenbruck and Katherine Irene McCullough, as well as his siblings: Mary Virginia Booker, Sarah Teresa Whaley, Kathryn Lou Anderson, John (Jack) Ambrose Lowenbruck, and William Lee Lowenbruck.

He is survived by his nieces and nephew: Mary (Anderson) Stoffle, Teresa (Whaley) Hixon, Virginia Kaye (Whaley) Wright and Douglas Anderson, along with countless friends and acquaintances who will miss his humor, warmth, and zest for living.
