Taylor Jeanne Pettit, 20, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away June 14, 2014 surrounded by her devoted family.

Taylor was born September 24, 1993 in Kansas City, Kansas. She graduated from Shawnee Mission Northwest in 2012, where she played on the softball team and was very involved in the layout of her high school yearbook. Taylor had a love of photography and a special passion and love for all animals, including Watson, her golden retriever, and her horse Prince.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Cynthia Wingender in July of 2000.

Taylor leaves behind her father, Todd Pettit; Jason Everhart; three sisters, Jenna M. Bradrick; Jaime M. Church and Katherine J. Church. Maternal grandfather, Phillip J. Wingender, Sr.; maternal grandmother, Joann Wingender; her four legged companion, Watson; several aunts and uncles, four nieces and a nephew.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Great Plains SPCA, In memory of Taylor Pettit, 5428 Antioch Drive, Merriam, KS 66202.

Visitation and Services

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at the Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee KS, 66203. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 19, 2014 at the funeral home with burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kansas.
