Ted Wilkerson, 90, of Shawnee, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, March 17, 2018 at his home.

Ted was born August 30, 1927 to the late William and Ethel Wilkerson in Junction City, KS.  On July 16, 1948 he married Arla Faye Hill in Kansas City, Kansas.  He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.  Ted was a faithful servant of the Shawnee Church of the Nazarene.

He is preceded in death by a daughter, Linda K. Ferguson and four brothers.  Ted is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Arla Wilkerson; a daughter, Carolyn Jobe and husband Jim; a son, Timothy Wilkerson and wife Nancy; a sister, Ethel Weide and husband Elmer; six grandchildren, Amy Gallup and husband Shawn; Erin O'Dwyer; Jason Jobe; Julie Jobe; William Wilkerson; Alexander Wilkerson; three great grandchildren, Justin Gallup; Jessica Gallup and Austin O'Dwyer.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Shawnee Church of the Nazarene, 5539 Quivira Road, Shawnee, Kansas 66216.  Funeral services will follow at 10 am at the church.  Ted will be laid to rest at Shawnee Mission Memorial Gardens.
