Thea Ann Carter

October 12, 1965 — October 29, 2021

Thea Ann Carter, daughter of Theadore and Joan Shafer, was born October 12, 1965 in Kansas City, Missouri. She departed this life, Friday, October 29, 2021 at home under the comfort and care of her family, at the age of fifty-six years, and 17 days.

On December 14, 1985 in Linn Creek, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Michael Carter and to this union three children were born. Together they shared thirty-five years of marriage.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Theadore and Joan Shafer.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Carter and children; John Carter, Amanda Puskas and husband Ryan, and Brandon Carter; one grandchild, Margot Puskas and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Thea was raised in Golden City, MO and then Camdenton, MO, and graduated there in the class of 1984. She and her husband owned their own elite cleaning business for 20 years. No one could out sparkle the sparkle specialists. Despite their business's great success her truest passions included her relationship in faith and Christ, health & natural healing, her family, and the great outdoors. She never met a campsite she didn't like, nor a plant she couldn't nurture to thriving abundance. She was a loving wife, mother, nanny and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for all those who encountered her christ-loving spirit.
