Theresa A. Swinney

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Theresa Swinney, beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. Theresa was born on July 15, 1953, in Wichita, Kansas, and peacefully departed from this world on May 21, 2024, in Shawnee, Kansas, at the age of 70, after a valiant battle with Glioblastoma.

Theresa was a dedicated professional, known for her exceptional leadership as the Deputy ARC-PCO. Beyond her career accomplishments, she found joy in simple pleasures such as basking in the sun by the pool or beach, practicing yoga, and cherishing moments spent with her loved ones, especially playing with her granddaughter.

Theresa is survived by her devoted husband, James Swinney, loving son Jared Swinney, adoring daughter Ariel Swinney, and cherished granddaughter Eleven Burris. She is also remembered by her dear mother, Donna Paluch, and sister Carol Paluch. Theresa is preceded in death by her father Albert Paluch and brother Chris Paluch.

A funeral mass to honor and celebrate Theresa's life will be held at St. Joseph Church on Friday, May 31st, 2024 at 10am, where family and friends can gather to pay their respects and share memories of a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many.

In her role as a certified yoga instructor, she poured her heart into her students and fostered a community of wellness and positivity. Theresa's legacy of love, kindness, and strength will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
