Thomas E. Clark, Sr. (Tom), 87 of Lenexa, Kansas died October 26, 2021 at Lakeview Care Center, just one day shy of his 65th wedding anniversary.
The rosary will be said at 9:50 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 1st at St. Joseph Catholic Church 11301 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS 66203 (live-streamed at www.stjoeshawnee.org or by clicking HERE ). A luncheon/visitation will follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall across the street from the church.
Tom was born on May 13, 1934 to William Richard and Lucy Catherine (Holmes) Clark in Kansas City, Kansas. After loving to play football and baseball, Tom graduated from Tonganoxie High School in 1952 subsequently joining the Air Force and retiring after 10 years from the 818th Air Division (SAC) in Lincoln, NE as a Staff Sargent followed by 30 years in insurance sales and 21 retirement years working on golf courses in Bella Vista, AR. Tom loved his family and playing golf and softball (in his younger days).
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Jim, Joe, Harold and Gene, sisters; Mary Noe and Pat Elliott and nephew, Mike Maderak.
He is survived by his wife, Norma (Tourbier) Clark; children; Jeannie (Greg) Karber, Susan (Alan) Cummings, Tom Jr (Suzette) Clark, Donna (Frank) Bingham. Grandchildren; Garrett and Heidi Karber; Erik, Alex and Clark (Julia) Cummings; Courtney (great grand-son, Bentley) and Alicia Clark; and Nick (Larissa and great grand-daughter, Adelaine) Clark and Amanda Keith; sister, Catherine Maderak, as well as, many extended family members.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Amedisys Foundation (Hospice) www. Amedisys.com, St Joseph Catholic Church www.church.stjoeshawnee.org or the charity of your choice.
