Thomas A. Grace, Sr.

Thomas A. Grace Sr., 71, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away October 23, 2009 at the Kansas City Hospice House.

Tom was born October 16, 1938 in Kansas City, Missouri to Thomas Edward and Helen Flintjer Grace. Tom worked for JC Nichols for 46 years, retiring in 2003. He had an incredible passion for old cars. So it is fitting that he will be riding for the last time, to the cemetery, in his pride and joy, a 1973 Buick which he purchased the year his son was born. He also enjoyed woodworking and his yard work.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Edward Thomas Grace. He is survived by his wife, Marian Grace; his daughter, Karen Elizabeth Laughton of Mission, Kansas; his son Thomas A. Grace Jr. of Gardner, Kansas; and daughter Ann Marie Grace of Kansas City, Missouri. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Kathleen Grace of Kansas City, Missouri and by four granddaughters.

Visitation and Funeral Service

A visitation will be held Monday, October 26, 2009 from 6 to 8 pm at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee with a Rosary recitation at 7:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be 10 am, Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009 at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Overland Park, Kansas followed by burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri.
