Thomas A. Kyle

Thomas A. Kyle, age 79 of Kansas City, Kansas, went to be with his Lord December 9th, 2008.

Thomas was born July 6, 1929 in Emporia, Kansas to Andrew and Dorothy (Arsburger) Kyle. He proudly served in the US Army for 21 years. Then worked for GM from 1968 to 1973. After which he worked and retired from Frank Rock Construction. Thomas loved to fish and garden, and enjoyed woodworking. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor and love of his family.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and by his wife of 59 years, Geneva Pavey Kyle, and by his brother Donald Kyle, a daughter Paula Rose, and a grandson Stephen Kyle. He is survived by his children; Andy Hutchinson of Belton, Missouri, Judy Bowlin of Odessa, Mo, Deborah Troutman of Olathe, Kansas, Raymond Kyle of Shawnee, Kansas, Jeffery Kyle of Lenexa, Kansas, and Rebecca Myers of Fort Smith Arkansas. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-grand-daughter and his dog Bandit.

Memorial donations in Thomas's memory may be made in lieu of flowers to The American Cancer Society or the Kansas City Hospice House.

Memorial services will be held at The Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 1:00 PM.
