Tom Mercer, 54, of Merriam, KS, passed away, Saturday, April 7, 2018.
Tom was born in Kansas City, MO and was a life long area resident. He was a Master plumber for W. Vielhauer Plumbing. He started working for Vielhauers when he was 15 years old. He loved fishing, spending time at the lake and helping others.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Kennedy; his children, William Mercer, Thomas Mercer, II, and Mandy Mitchell; his parents, Daniel and Loretta Mercer; a brother, Dan (Anne) Mercer; a sister, Debbie (Randy) Loyd, and his grandchildren, Weston Mercer, David Mercer, Whitley Mercer and Ethan Mitchell.
A brief service will be held at 2 p.m., followed by visitation until 4 p.m., Sunday at the Amos Family Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at the Shawnee American Legion, 6521 Nieman Rd., on Saturday, April 21st at 2 p.m.
