Thomas W. Waters

Thomas William Waters, 80, of Prairie Village, Kansas passed away surrounded by his family on January 25th, 2021. Thomas was born April 22nd, 1940 in Chicago IL, to William and Jane (Budrich) Waters. He was made a widower in 2010 when his wife of 44 years, Joyce K Waters passed on.

He is survived by his children Kevin Waters, Jennifer Waters, Patrick and Rosemary Waters, Daniel and Jenny Waters, and 8 grandchildren. Collin (25) & Bowen (18) Waters, Jalen Collier (23) & Kiley & (Spencer) (24) Collier Meierarend (22), Cooper Waters (15), Alexis (6), Charlie (4) and Joseph (2) Waters.

Tom went to Valparaiso University in Valparaiso Indiana. He was extremely intelligent and very much an independent thinker.

He dedicated himself to being a lifelong educator, a lover of the arts and a world traveler.

Tom was tremendously funny and full of life but cantankerous and often misunderstood. He was a very proud father and grandfather. If you knew Tom, you loved him as much as his family. He will be greatly missed.
