Velda A. Stokes

Velda A. Stokes, 92, of Richmond, KS, formerly of Merriam passed away on January 5, 2018 at Richmond Healthcare. Velda was born February 6, 1925 in Ellinwood, KS to Clarence and Selma Pohlman.

Velda is survived by a daughter, Lee Anne (Gary) Sexton, of Greenville, TN; sons, Russell (Vikki) Stokes, of Wellsville, KS and Dennis Stokes, of Wichita, KS; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, three sisters and two brothers. Velda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wayne, two sisters and one brother.

A Visitation is set for 10 ~ 11:30 AM, Monday Jan. 15, 2018 at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Dr., Shawnee, KS 66203 with a funeral service at 11:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens.
