Velma Pauline Argubright, 91, of Shawnee, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 2, 2011.
Pauline was born October 4, 1919, to the late Henry and Ester McCrory in Denison, Kansas. On June 7, 1940, Pauline married Stephen Argubright. in Denison, Kansas. He preceded her in death after 67 years of marriage on November 1, 2007. Pauline was a member of the First Baptist Church of Shawnee and the Union Pacific Junior Oldtimers.
She is survived by her son, Stephen Argubright, Jr.; a sister, Lorraine Ferguson; two grandchildren, Amy Argubright-Reynolds, Thomas Argubright; and great granddaughter, Courtney Reynolds.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made the Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64145.
Visitation and Funeral Service
Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 p.m., Friday, August 5, 2011, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens, Overland Park, Kansas.
