Venna Rose Wise

Venna Rose Wise was born August 9th 1929 and passed away at her home in Overland Park, Kansas on October 21st 2014 at 5:44 pm. at the age of 85 years.

Venna was born in Fillmore, Utah on August 9th 1929 to C. Edward & Mary Myrtle McCormick. She was preceded in death by her parents; Husband Warren Wise; Four sisters Minnie Bernard, Viola Ekker, Hanna Talent and Barbra Swanger, and One brother James McCormick. She is survived by her brother Roy McCormick of Tremonton, Utah and three sons, Stephen (Karolanne) Katzenberger of Harrisonville Missouri; Michael (Tracy) Katzenberger of Longmont, Colorado and Russell (Cathy) Katzenberger of Trinidad, Colorado plus many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an avid gardener and loved baking cookies for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She spent time sewing and also had a farm in Pleasant Hill, Missouri where she raised cows and horses. Venna had owned a dry cleaning shop for several years and worked at Sears for 13 years and retired at 82.

A visitation will be held from 10-11:00 am, Monday October 27, 2014 at The Church of Latter-Day Saints at 7100 Hadley Overland Park, KS 66204. The service will follow at 11:00 am. Burial will be at Floral Hills East Cemetery 25203 E. US 50 Highway Lees Summit, MO 64086 at 1:30 pm, Monday following lunch at the church.
