Victoria “Vickie” Hataway-Britain, 85 passed away Oct. 11, 2016.
Born Victoria Marie Anderson in Kansas City, Missouri on Sept. 27, 1931 to Evans F. and Ruby V., Swedish decent. She was a fun and beautiful mom and grandmother, and a great wife to our father James D. for 45 years till his death and step-father of 14 years to Carrol Britain till his passing. A very hard worker she was a great sales lady. Worked at Stein Mart till 79 years old and loved it! Saks Fifth Ave, Plaza, in the 90’s and owner of Collectors Art of KC in the 70’s and 80’s. She also sold cars in the early 70’s.
Dearly loved by her family, son James D. Hataway Jr. and wife Janet of O.P., KS., daughter Pamela and husband Bradley Hook & their children Lauren Victoria Simon & spouse Derek and their sons Sterling B. & Remington N., Kristen A. Hook & fiancée John Reyno, Allison E. Hook and her fiancée Spencer Bowman all of Kailua, Hawaii and son Peter C. Hook of Carmel-By-The-Sea, Calif. Youngest son Jeffery Hataway and wife Michelle Dee of Phoenix, AZ and their daughters Jade and Carly. Vickie also had 3 step children Mat, Amy & Mick and 4 step-grandchildren. Our beautiful Mom and Grandmother will be dearly missed.
Her Memorial Service is Saturday, December 3rd at The Village Presbyterian Church, in the Church Chapel at 10:30 am, 6641 Mission Rd. Prairie Village, KS 66208.
Donations are welcome in lieu of flowers to the Village Presbyterian Church “Youth Groups”.
