Vincent A. Hugunin

Vincent A. Hugunin Sr., 88, of Warrensburg, MO, passed away Jan. 19th, 2017. Vince was born on Oct. 10, 1928, in Maple Park, MO, to Jesse Hugunin and Fannie (McConnell). He is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn; brothers, Jesse Jr., Gene, Ronald, Glen, Cecil, Mike; sisters, Charlotte, Ruthie, Sharon; and son, Paul. Vince is survived by his daughter, Michele Michaels; sons, Vinny, Mark (Barb), Gene (Sherrie), John (Nancy); brother, Gary; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He served in the US Navy from 1948-1951. Vince was employed at Kansas City Power and Light for 35 years before retirement. He was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and Knights of Columbus in Warrensburg, MO. Vince served as a volunteer at Johnson County (MO) Hospice Care. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to all of his caregivers/staff at the Missouri Veteran's Home who provided wonderful care for him over the past 3 years.

A visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with a funeral mass to immediately follow. Burial will be held at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
