Virgil Paul Bixler

Virgil Paul Bixler, 84, Eldorado Springs, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at his home.

Virgil was born November 24, 1928, near Waynoka, Oklahoma, to Roy Valentine and Gertie May Bixler. On June 14, 1945, Virgil married E. Grace Quinn in Medicine Lodge, Kansas.

Virgil was a district manager in the Perishable Traffic Development Department of Santa Fe Railroad, retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Southern Kansas Country Club Assoc.

Virgil was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Bixler on October 18, 2005. He is survived by his three children and their spouses; ten grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and many other family and friends.

The family would like to acknowledge their deep appreciation for the loving care provided by Todd and Stacey Fenton.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 14, 2013, at the Amos Family Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 15, 2013, at the funeral home; entombment in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
