Virginia Larue Adrian

Virginia Larue Adrian, 96, of Shawnee, KS passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021 at her home with her daughters by her side. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, June 3 at the Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The family requests that everyone wears a mask while attending services. Virginia will be laid to rest next to her first husband Jack Revard. Virginia was born June 14, 1924 in Orrick Missouri to the late Ashley and Mary Minick. She attended Wyandotte High School. On March 15, 1942, Virginia married Jack Revard in Paola, Kansas. He preceded her in death in 1986. She remarried in 1989 to the late Albert Adrian; he preceded her in death in 2004. Virginia worked for Winkler’s Jewelry Store and retired after many years of working in JCPenney’s fine jewelry department. She was a talented artist, calligrapher, quilter and enjoyed fellowship with her church friends over the years. Virginia was a sweet and kind soul to all she met, she loved to cook and entertain friends at her home. She will be missed by everyone she leaves behind with great love and fondness for her bouncy, sweet disposition. Virginia is also preceded in death by her sons, John and Chris Revard; two brothers, William Minick and Pierce Fritter. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Monteleone; Sandra Stolte and Terry; daughter in law, Denise Revard; a sister, Gladys Mickelson and husband Richard; three stepchildren, Roxanne, Tyron and Bob; five grandchildren, Brian Revard and wife Amber; Shawn Revard and wife Amanda; Alison Miller; Ashlie Mock and husband Josh; and Jessica Stolte-Hunt and 15 great grandchildren and many, many great-great grandchildren.
