Viginia Lee Studyvin, 86, Merriam, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at her home.

Virginia was born in Pittsburg, Kansas, to Charles H. and Nellie Williams. She was a 1943 graduate of Pittsburg High School. In 1945, Virginia married William E. Studyvin. Virginia was an expert doll maker and designer and collaborated with National Institute of American Doll Artist Elizabeth Brandon on many years of doll shows.

Virginia is survived by her husband, William E. Studyvin; daughter, Glenda Daly and her husband, John, Panama City, Florida; two sons, Charles Studyvin and wife, Caryn, Rolla, Missouri and Steve Studyvin, Merriam, Kansas; four grandchildren, Jennifer Candler, Brandon and Chase Daly and Laura Studyvin, and two great grandchildren, Hayden and Mason Candler.

Memorial Service

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 1, 2011, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee.
