Wade H. Martin, Jr.

Wade H. Martin, Jr. 92, Roeland Park, KS passed away Saturday, August 28, 2010 at the Sweet Life at Rosehill, Shawnee, KS. Mr. Martin was born April 12, 1918 in Joplin, MO to Wade H. and Matilda Martin. He was a graduate of the University of Chicago. During WWII, Wade was stationed in China as a meteorologist. Following the war, Wade worked for Eagle-Picher in Dallas, TX and later went on to become owner/operator of Abner-Hood, retiring in 1983. Wade was a member of the American Chemical Society.

Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his wife, Martha (Emerson) Martin on March 23, 2009 and sister, Anna Pauline Martin in 1952. Survivors include his two sons, Dr. Wade "Chip" Martin, III and his wife, Mary, St. Louis, MO and Dr. John Christopher Martin and his wife, Maureen, Edmond, OK; three grandsons, Matt, David and Scott.
