Walter John Tracz, 88, of Shawnee, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at his home.

Walt was born November 16, 1927 to the late Walter and Sophia Tracz in Kansas City, Kansas. Walt served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea. When he returned home from the service, Walt married Winnie Lamb on June 14, 1952. He was active in the Wy-Jon Bowling Association and several other community organizations. Walt retired from Shawnee State Bank after 50 years of service.

Walt is survived by his wife of 63 years, Winnie; two sons, Edward (Gayla) Tracz and Stanley Tracz; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 21. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. at St Joseph Catholic Church, 11311 Johnson Drive, Shawnee.
