Warren F. Roos

Warren Francis Roos died on February 18, 2012. Warren was born on June 26, 1946. to Catherine and Victor Roos. He is a graduate of St. Joseph Elementary School in Shawnee, Kansas, St. Joseph Military Academy in Hays,Kansas, and St. Benedict College in Atchison, Kansas. He served inViet Nam and received a Purple Heart. He went on to become a data programmer and worked in that field for many years. Warren was a Fourth Degree member of the Knight of Columbus.

Warren was preceeded in death by his father Victor and is survived by his mother Catherine; four brothers: Edward, Albert, Dennis and Mark; nine sisters: Margaret Roos, Marilyn Kuntze, Cecelia Paz, Kathleen Woydziak, Maureen Roos, Rita Hudson, Louise Ronnau, Suzanne Downey and Jean Butel; twenty-eight nieces and nephews; and nineteen great nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 23, 2012, at the Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory, where a Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 24, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shawnee, Kansas. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Baldwin City, Kansas.
