Werner Kurt Wohlert

Werner Kurt Wohlert, 82, of Shawnee, Kansas passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016.

Werner was born in Germany and came to America in 1959. He was the owner of Werner's Specialty Foods on Johnson Drive in Mission for 25 years. He was famous for his sausage making. Werner retired in 1995.

He was an active member of Germania, GACA, and Edelweiss. His favorite hobby was auctioneering.

Werner is preceded in death by his parents, Kurt and Olga Wohlert and his daughter Susan Wohlert. He is survived by his wife of 32 years Ursula Orlich Wohlert, his son Steven Wohlert, his sister Christa and brothers; Horst, Gunter and Lothar. Werner also leaves behind many friends. He will be missed dearly by all.

A visitation will be held Thursday June 23, 2016 from 5-6 p.m. at Amos Family Funeral Home 10901 Johnson Drive Shawnee, KS. A Service will follow at 6 p.m.
