Wilbert W. “Sonny” Miller

Wilbert W. "Sonny" Miller, 69, of Lenexa, Kansas, passed away, Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Mr. Miller was born in Kansas City, Kansas. He served in the Air Force during the Berlin crisis in 1961. He was a mechanical contractor and was last employed by The MCC Group in Metarie, Louisiana. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, the Sons of the American Revolution, SMACNA, and the Marrs Racing Team.

Mr. Miller is survived by his wife of 49 years, Judy L. Miller; his children, Christina (Michael) Hahn of West Des Moines, Iowa, Mark (Thomas) Miller of Mainz, Germany, Shannon (Cornelia) Miller of Camas, Washington, Morten Malmros of Copenhagen, Denmark and Simone Reinhard of Bern, Switzerland; grandchildren, Alexis, Kylie, Katja, Ben and Finn; and brothers, Joseph Miller of Littleton, Colorado and Ronald Miller of Chicago, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Salem Lutheran Church, 9143 Haskins, Lenexa, Kansas 66215.

Visitation and Funeral Services

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, June 27, 2009, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee with burial in Lenexa Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m., Friday, June 26, 2009 at the chapel.
