Willard H.Yeats, 98, passed away on July 2, 2016.

Will Yeats interesting background reflects God’s hand upon his life. Born in Matoy, Oklahoma on April 16, 1918 the 13th child of 15 children - reared by Godly parents - he worked his way through Oklahoma State University as a Tenor Soloist, while singing in both a Gospel Quartet & the College Cowboy Chorus as well as staff vocalist for WKY Radio in Oklahoma City. He served four years in WW2 Air Force Special Services utilizing his musical talents. Will directed the Church Choir at Shawnee Baptist for 18 years and always maintained a men’s gospel quartet for over 50 years. He wrote many gospel songs including a special song for Lakeview Village in Lenexa where he lived the past 10 years. He conducted a successful business in Real Estate and residential construction and appraising in Kansas City. His entire life has enabled him to minister for the Lord through music.

Will was preceded in death by his dear wife Hester. Will is survived by his daughter Patty Yeats Parker and her husband Frank Fara of Fountain Hills, Arizona and his son Bill Yeats and his wife Kelley in Kansas City, MO.

Celebration of Life Services

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 8, at Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee, Kansas.
