William Atkins

William (Bill) Atkins, 73, of Merriam, KS passed away on January 30th, 2019. He was born on November 26th, 1945 in Butler, MO to Arthur and Arthella Atkins.  Bill worked as a mold designer for Owens Illinois. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Bill is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Sherry Atkins. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughter, Stephanie (Brad Grant) Chaffee; sister, Cathy (Lester) Sanderson; brother, Randy (Linda) Atkins; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Burroughs and Eric Chaffee; great-grandchildren, Adam Chaffee and Grant Trout.

A visitation will be held at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Dr., Shawnee, KS 66203 on Friday, February 1st, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 2nd at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 11311 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS 66203. Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Shawnee, KS.
