Bill Butler, 80, of Shawnee, KS, passed away on April 12, 2016. He was born January 15th, 1936, to Dr. & Mrs. Fred E. Butler in Kansas City, MO. In 1961, Bill married Mary Ellen Allen in Salem, MO.

After graduating from Salem High School in 1954, he served 2 years in the United States Army. Upon discharge from the military, he attended the School of Airline Technology in Kansas City, MO. Bill was with Continental Airlines from 1960-1986. He then worked as a Sales Executive for Federal Express for 14 years, retiring in 2000. Bill passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday April, 12th 2016. He is survived by his wife Mary Ellen, his three sons Kevin, Steve and Scott and their wives Marci, Cheryl, and Jill, 6 Grand Children, Drew, Adam, Riley, Katie, Hallie and Jessica, 3 Great-Granddaughters McKenna, Mileigh, and Mattie Kate, and one brother, Charles and his wife Judy. Bill was proceeded in death by two brothers, Fred and Harold Butler.

Services

Visitation will be held Friday from 2:00-3:00 pm at Legacy Christian Church, 10150 Antioch Road Overland Park, KS 66212, with a memorial service to immediately follow.
