William “Bill” Clifford

October 22, 1975 — March 13, 2015

William Neff (Bill) Clifford passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 13, 2015. He was born on October 22, 1975 in Charlotte, North Carolina and lived most of his life in the Chesterfield, MO and Overland Park, KS areas. He was the proud father of two sons, Spencer and Trevor, and was a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin to his family.

Bill grew up in Chesterfield, Mo and moved with his family back to the Kansas City area in 1993 where he attended classes at the University of Kansas. He later studied at San Antonio College and had earned his Associates Degrees in HVAC and Medical Technology. He was currently completing his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.

Throughout his life Bill was a sensitive and empathetic soul. He loved music, politics, bowling and enjoyed all sports - especially his beloved Texas Longhorns and St. Louis Blues. He enjoyed taking his sons to sporting events and sharing those exciting moments with the most important two people in his life.

His greatest joy was spending time with his sons and extended family. He loved his nieces and nephew and all the Clifford cousins which were such a big part of his life. Bill had a heart of gold and would offer anything he had to another in need. He was a compassionate man that loved his family deeply. One of the highlights in his life was taking a pilgrimage to Colorado to meet Pope John Paul, II in 1993, an experience he never forgot and talked about years after the event.

Bill was so proud of his sons and was looking forward to helping Spencer find the right college and delighted in watching Trevor develop into a young adult.

Bill leaves behind his sons, Spencer and Trevor Brown, mother, Susan Neff Clifford (Philip E. McCarthy) of Shawnee, KS, father, Thomas D. Clifford, Jr. of San Antonio, TX and sister, Laura Clifford Yount (Jonathan D. Yount) of Leawood, KS along with their children Calem John James, Taylor Anne and Hayden Naomi.

Bill was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents William L. Neff and Shirley L. Neff, paternal grandparents T. Donald Clifford and Ann M. Clifford as well as his cherished great-grandmother Naomi A. Leitch. Bill also leaves behind several aunts and uncles, Sally and Todd Johnson, Jane and David Thompson, Robert and Karen Clifford, James and Carol Clifford, Patrice Clifford and numerous cousins on both sides of the family.

A visitation will be held Wendesday March 25, 2015 from 5-6 p.m. at the Amos Family Funeral Home 10901 Johnson Drive Shawnee, Kansas. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 6 p.m.
