William “Bill” L. Dold, 85, of Mission, Kansas, passed away March 25, 2012.
Bill was born in Omaha, Nebraska. He served in the United States Navy on the USS Saint Croix during WWII. Bill worked in the automotive industry for 53 years; his last employer being Jack Cooper Transport. Bill was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Kansas City, Kansas. He was a fan of KU and the Kansas City Chiefs. Bill enjoyed trips to Idaho to visit family and experience the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha (Micheels) Dold of 62 years; sons, William M. Dold (Nancy), Michael P. Dold (Kathy); daughters, Debra A. Levy (Michael) and Celene M. Hunter (Paul); grandchildren, Tamara Gilchrist, Christopher and Emily Dold, Ryan, Trevor and Katie Breitenbach, and Lauren and Chase Hunter; great-grandchildren Taylor and Jesse Gilchrist; and many nieces and nephews.
Bill will be greatly missed by all whom he has touched in his life. Goodbye for now, we love you!
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 29, 2012, at the Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory. A visitation and reception will follow at the funeral home. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery.
