William “Bill” H. Holder, Jr.

William "Bill" H. Holder, Jr., 70, of Shawnee passed away June 4, 2020 in Phoenix, AZ.

Bill was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on March 28, 1950.  He graduated from St. Joseph High School.  He worked as general contractor and owned his own business, Horizon Builders, for many years.  His parents owned Bill & Beth's Tavern on Johnson Drive.  He married Laurel (Thomas) Holder on April 28, 1973.  Bill was a free spirit and loved riding his Harley all over the country; he also enjoyed playing golf.

Bill is survived by his wife of 47 years, Laurel Holder; children, Will Holder and Genniveve Ramsey; two grandchildren, and other family and friends. He is preceded in death by William H. Holder, Sr. (father), Bess "Beth" (Beck) Holder (mother), and Thomas Holder (brother).

Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 am, Friday, June 12, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A visitation will be from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday, June 11, 2020 at the Amos Family Funeral Home.

Please be aware that we are limiting the number of people in the chapel AND at the funeral mass to 45. We will be rotating people through the chapel during the visitation as best as we can. We ask that people respect and comply with social distancing and also recommend wearing masks.

St. Joseph Catholic Church is requiring masks being worn in order to enter the church for the funeral mass.
