William “Bill” Lecluyse

October 8, 1926 — August 11, 2010

Bill LeCluyse, 83, of Lenexa, Kansas, passed away August 11, 2010.

Bill was born October 8, 1926, in Shawnee, Kansas, to William and Julia (DeJaegher) LeCluyse.

He served in the US Navy during WWII. Bill was a life long member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and Shawnee American Legion. He worked for Proctor & Gamble for many years before starting his own construction business. Bill devoted his life to loving and supporting his wife Millie and their family. He will always be remembered for his jokes and for finding the humor in every situation.

Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife Millie in January 2010 and by a sister, Mary Theresa.

He is survived by his children; John (Kaye), Geri (Randy), Patty (Bill), Mary Beth (Hank), and Bill Jr. (Kendra). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to the nurses and staff at St. Luke's Plaza Heart Failure Clinic, and to Benefits of Home, for their loving & attentive care.

Memorials in Bills memory may be made to Catholic Charities or St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Visitation and Service

A visitation will be held Friday, August 13, 2010, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm with the Rosary beginning at 5 pm. Mass will be held at 9:30 am Saturday, August 14th at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shawnee, Kansas. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Shawnee.
