William Park, 90, Lenexa Ks, went to be with the Lord 10/15/2015.
He was born & raised in KCKS (An Original Dotte!) to William & Thelma Park. Bill was a Seabee, played the trumpet in the Navy band & was the East Coast Naval Boxing Champion. He was also the 1948 Golden Gloves Light Heavyweight Boxing Champion. Bill played baseball (& ping pong) for Proctor & Gamble for many years, retiring from P&G after 37 years. He loved to golf and was a Marshall at Sunflower Hills. Bill loved music, especially blue grass, and taught himself to play the mandolin. He was the music director for many years at Stony Point Baptist Church. Bill was married to the love of his life, Beverly, for 69 years.
He was predeceased by his parents, 7 siblings, & son Steve. Survivors include his wife, Beverly, daughters, Beth Woolery (Joel), Becky Pettey (Mike), 3 grandchildren, Autumn Beach (David), Ben Woolery (Junelle), Brooke Rodina (Nick), 3 great-grandchildren, Will & Paige Beach and Zack Rodina, brother, Jimmy Park, and many nieces & nephews. Private family graveside services.
