William “Bill” Parker Weiden Jr.

January 31, 1929 — March 19, 2016

William Parker Weiden, Jr. went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2016 at the age of 87. Born January 31, 1929 to his parents, William and Josephine Weiden in Drexel, MO. He graduated from Wyandotte High School, served in the U.S. Army and went to work for Proctor & Gamble from where he retired in 1989. Bill was a life long member of the First Baptist Church of Shawnee. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sue ( Peniston) Weiden and four children, Gary Weiden (Tami) of Woodstock, GA; John Weiden (Sue) of Canton, GA; Deanna Gerard of Merriam, KS; Brian Weiden of Lenexa, KS. Bill is also survived by seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a sister, Mary Anderson (Carl) of Highlands Ranch, CO. He was preceded in death by sisters Eloise Roberts and Eleanor Childs.

Visitation will be at Amos Family Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Wednesday, March 23, 2016. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 10am at First Baptist Church of Shawnee, with burial immediately following the service at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
