Bill Stuckwisch, 88, passed away at home on September 8, 2019.
Bill was born in Seymour, Indiana, to Clara and William Stuckwisch on March 16, 1931. After attending Brownstown High School, he served in the Korean War in the Field Artillery Division of the Army.
Bill married Carol VonDielingen on June 1, 1952. They celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary this year.
During his lifetime, Bill enjoyed the company of his family and friends, his dogs, Kansas Basketball, racing RC cars, flying radio-controlled model airplanes and fishing.
Survivors include his wife Carol, son Tony (Stephanie Mahoney), daughter Vicki (Gregory Bukaty), granddaughter Jesse and sister-in-law Lora Mae Naffe.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings.
Our family would like to acknowledge Dr. Benjamin Powers and the staff of The University of Kansas Cancer Center and the nurses at Kansas City Hospice for their wonderful care and kindness.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, September 12, 2019, at Amos Family Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 9:00 a.m., Friday, September 13, 2019 at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
