Wilma Dorothy Brockschmidt

Wilma Dorothy Brockschmidt, 89 years old, passed away on February 10, 2018. Wilma was born February 22, 1928 in Cole Camp, Missouri to Frederick "Ed" and Emma Heisterberg.

Wilma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.  She had a cheerful disposition and fun-loving sense of humor.  Wilma always put the needs of others first, whether it was preparing meals for grieving families, transporting neighbors to the grocery store, or visiting people in nursing homes.  Having a strong faith, she served in many ways at her church, including the altar guild, quilting group, singing in the choir, LWML, and on various committees. Wilma will be missed by all.

Wilma is survived by her daughter, Marsha (Randy) Fassold, daughter-in-law, Nancy Brockschmidt, sister-in-law, Erma (Dennis) Davis, four grandchildren, Ellen and Steven Brockschmidt, Brian (Kylie) Fassold and Colin (Courtney) Fassold. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin, son, David Brockschmidt, sisters, Lola Tobaben and Florence Perry, sister-in-law, Mildred Ashbrook.

A Visitation is set for Friday, February 16, 2018 from 9:00 ~ 10:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 5601 W. 62nd Street, Mission, Kansas 66202 with a Memorial Service immediately following at 10:00 AM. Inurnment will follow at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens.
