Wilma Floretta Coleman, 91, of Overland Park, KS passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital.
Wilma was born November 22, 1921 to the late Ralph and Mary (Gillaspie) Pine in Gardner, Kansas. She graduated from Bonner Springs High School in 1939. On November 8, 1942 she married Harold Coleman at her family home in Bonner Springs. He preceded her in death on July 10, 2010.
Wilma was a secretary for the Shawnee Mission School District for 21 years at Pawnee School before retiring in 1984. She was an active member of Westport Presbyterian Church for over 60 years. Wilma was also a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the Rosedale Optimist Club.
Wilma is survived by her three children, Kenneth Coleman and wife Francena; James Coleman and wife Dawn; and Mary Ann Coleman; two nieces, Vivian Pine and Venita Pine, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Visitation and Services
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, July 5 at the Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee, with services following at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Bonner Springs Cemetery.
