Wilma Huffman passed peacefully April 6, 2017, at 87.  She was born August 18, 1929. In St Joseph, MO. She grew up in Atchison, KS, where she met the love of her life, Robert Earl Huffman. They were married 67 years and had three children: Peggy Huffman Fach, Lenexa, KS, married to Allen; Dale Huffman of Lawrence, KS, married to Carol Barlow; and Robert Huffman, JR, of Kansas City, MO.  She leaves 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren who love her very much.

In 1947, she married Bob and moved to Kansas City, MO.  Bob worked for Milgram food stores for over thirty years. Mom raised the three children,  working part time at various jobs: SMSD school district, A & P, and Milgrams. When Bob retired, they moved back to Valley Falls, KS, and she worked for NEKAP. They enjoyed traveling in their RV and winters in TX..  She loved everyone and was always an active member of church where ever they were. Our family can not thank enough the many staff members at Garden Terrace who took good care of her and became friends and part of our family.  We only hope that we can spread God's love everyday in our lives, like she did. She will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation and Celebration of Life Services

Services will be Saturday, April 8th,  at Overland Park Christian Church, 7600 West 76th Street. Visitation is from 3-4pm, with a celebration of her life at 4pm.
