Wilson “Buddy” Jones, Jr.

Wilson F. "Buddy" Jones, Jr., 93, Shawnee, Kansas, passed away Friday, June 21, 2013, at the Shawnee Gardens Nursing Center, Shawnee, Kansas.

Wilson was born July 22, 1919, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Wilson F. and Rose (Kanally) Jones. Rose passed away 11 weeks after giving birth to Wilson and his twin sister, Clena. They were raised by their grandmother, Jenny Hart Jones. He was a great grandson of Scudder and Wilhannah Hart, who settled in Shawnee in 1878.

Survivors include his sister, Clena Wilson, Shawnee, Kansas; nephew, John Wilson, Pocatello, Idaho; two great nephews, Brian and Robert Hobbs; great niece Jennifer Call; and many other family and friends.

The family would like to thank th doctors and staff at the Bonner Springs Nursing Center and Shawnee Gardens Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 29, 2013, at the Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorial services will follow at 2:00 p.m.; inurnment in the PleasantView Cemetery.
