Winfield “Syd” Tubbs, Jr.

Winfield "Syd" Tubbs, Jr., 68, of Overland Park, KS passed away on February 24th, 2021.  He was born in Manitou Springs, Colorado on December 17th, 1952 to Winfield and Arabella Tubbs.  Syd proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1972 to 1976.  He later went on to serve the Merriam Police Department for seventeen years.

Syd was preceded in death by his father, Winfield Tubbs, Sr.  He is survived by his loving wife, Vanessa Tubbs; daughter, Samantha Tubbs and husband Justin Barber; mother, Arabella Tubbs; and sister, Rebecca Tubbs.

A visitation will be held at Amos Family Funeral Home on Thursday, March 4th from 10-11 AM.  Please be aware Amos Family Funeral Home can only have 45 people in the chapel at a time.  Masks are required and please practice social distancing.  A private graveside for family only will follow at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
