Omar Gregory Conrad

Omar Gregory Conrad, 86, of Overland Park, Kansas died March 12, 2023 at Sunrise of Lenexa.

A visitation will be 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Lenexa Baptist Church, 15320 W 87th St Pkwy, Lenexa, KS 66219 with a funeral service starting at 6:00 pm.

Omar was born on June 1, 1936 to Omar Guy and Charlene (Silman) Conrad in Kansas City, Missouri.

Omar studied to become a geologist.  He taught at the college level for his entire adult life.  He also worked as a stone mason, beginning as a hobby, and then becoming a profitable second career.  He put a stone veneer and 2 beautiful stone fire places in the last house that he and his wife lived in.

Omar was preceded in death by his wife, Dorallyn Conrad.  They were married for 61 years.

Survivors include daughter, Debbie and her husband Ken Williams; son, Omar and his wife, Jacque Conrad; four grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
