William C. Birchfield, 81, of Overland Park, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2015 at St. Luke's South Hospital.

Bill was born July 30, 1933 to the late Elmer and Alba Birchfield in Berea, OH. He served in the United States Air Force. After his service, Bill attended Rockhurst University and earned a bachelor's degree in business administration. He was the owner of Metro Service Bureau for over 20 years. Bill was a longtime member of the Shawnee Mission Optimist Club, American Collectors Association and Trinity Lutheran Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife Shirley Hsiung Birchfield in November of 2014; a sister, Jesslyn Brim; and brother, Thomas E. Birchfield. Bill is survived by his children, William N Birchfield and wife Pam; Becky S. Max and husband Marty; grandchildren, Katie Olsen and husband Eric; Abbie Max; Kayla Birchfield and Andrew Birchfield.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 10 at the Amos Family Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 5601 W. 62nd St. Mission, Kansas 66202.
